Adopt a Snoot
Our greyhounds are fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped. Please view our dogs available for adoption on Savourlife, PetRescue or fill out our online adoption form, and we’ll be in touch. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
Our process is simple
Each and every greyhound has its own unique personality, quirks and needs. At GGR we take great pride in matching each of our greys to a forever home based on their needs, to ensure a happy and smooth transition.
Our greyhounds are fostered in homes and there is regular communication with their foster carers. As a result we get a great sense of what their ideal home should be.
First steps:
Step 1. Complete an EOI form – if the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we will endeavour to match you with a more suitable greyhound.
Step 2. Once we have reviewed the EOI form, we’ll phone you to assess suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat about the process and next steps.
Step 3. Home Check & Meet + Greet. We’ll come to your home and conduct a ‘home check’ to ensure your home is safe and suitable for a greyhound. We always check that fences/balconies are high enough and that the greyhound has a cosy, warm place inside to sleep at night.
At the same we will conduct a meet + greet with your new greyhound. This is where you can ask any questions you may have about anything and everything! It is on the meet + greet day that you’ll commence your three-week trial with your new snoot!
All of our greyhounds are adopted out with the following:
- Collar, coat, lead and muzzle
- Certificates of C5 vaccination and desexing
- Flea and worm treated
- Care information for your newly adopted greyhound as well as access to our private Facebook page for foster carers and adopters of our hounds. This is a community with invaluable advice and support!
