Happy Home - Briana, Caillan & Winnie
We've had Winnie for just over 2.5 years now! She settled in pretty quickly and was roaching straight away. She loved destroying her toys. It took her a while to come out of her shell but she got more comfortable with us each day.
We adopted a greyhound because we wanted a companion, someone to get us out of the house and we’ve always been dog people. When we learned more about greyhounds and how they need homes, it just felt like a good place to start. Winnie was actually the first greyhound either of us had ever met, and we fell in love with her (and the breed) straight away.
We pretty much knew immediately that we wanted to adopt her once we started the adoption trial. There were definitely ups and downs while we all adjusted, but it felt like the best decision straight away.
She loves to dig… like, really loves it. It’s definitely gotten us into trouble a few times. She’s also developed a talent for finding “treasures” on walks. Most times she comes home with something like a tennis ball, socks, jandals, towels, even random bits of ice. She turns it into this whole game, tossing things around like she’s struck gold.
She is obsessed with walks! There’s a reason why her instagram is @winnieloveswalkies! She also loves the beach, and anything involving a ball, bouncing, chasing, & juggling. She also loves sneaking onto the big bed when she thinks no one’s watching. And most of all, she loves her dad… and sticks.
