Happy Home - Caitlin, Campbell & Louise
We reached out to Louise's pawrents Caitlin and Campbell to see how she is thriving with her forever family. Here's what they had to say:
We've had Louise just over 12 months! Best year ever! We have always loved Greyhounds and admired them when we see them out and about. When we were considering getting a friend for Greg, we didn't think twice!
As soon as we met Louise, we knew we wanted to adopt her. It was love at first sight. Fun fact: Louise is Caitlin's middle name AND shares the same birthday as Campbell. If that isn't fate, we don't know what is!
Louise was very shy to begin with, however she soon found comfort in her new home and ruled the house with her new brother Greg. Louise quickly adopted Greg's routines and slotted into our family perfectly. Greg is a shy boy around new dogs so we were a bit nervous. However, Louise provided him with space to adjust, and visa versa. It was so beautiful to see.
Louise has an obsession for toy caterpillars and leaving them around the house. She will dig through her toy basket and only pick the caterpillars! She also takes herself outside for zoomies at the strangest hours (e.g., 5am and 10pm). We love putting the light on and watching her zoom around. Louise tries to talk to Greg to wake him up in the mornings (Greggy boy LOVES his sleep). She makes the cutest vocal sounds.
Louise thinks she is a lap dog and will sit directly on you, no matter what you are doing. She is always up for a cuddle! And she loves Campbell! Louise will velcro herself to him at every opportunity. If Campbell is tying his shoes, Louise is there 'helping'. If Campbell is cooking in the kitchen, Louise is sous chef. Caitlin is the favourite for morning cuddles.
