Happy Home - Timothee & Nala

We reached out to Nala's pawrent Tim to see how she is settling in after being adopted. Here's what he had to say:

I've had Nala for five months now. She arrived on 13 February 2026 - the day before Valentine's Day. She's been the love of my life ever since!

A friend of mine adopted a greyhound and I discovered how wonderful they are: gentle, affectionate, funny and incredibly easy to live with! Once I learned more about the racing industry in Australia and the challenges they face, I felt strongly about giving an adult greyhound a second chance!

Nala wasn't immediately affectionate. That said, she was always incredibly gentle, polite and easy-going. Things settled quickly, and we both learned to relax together. Today, we're completely in sync and have our own little routines that I wouldn't change for the world.

She's also quite partial to cosy outfits and jackets, which she wears with great dignity. Overall, she's a wonderfully gentle, calm and easy-going dog who is happiest when she's part of whatever adventure comes next.

I owe a lot to Chrissy from Greyt Greys, as well as Connor and Laura, Nala's foster family, who were endlessly patient, answered my many messages, and reassured me throughout the process. Greyt Greys also kindly organised a coaching session with dog trainer Elle, which proved to be a real turning point.

Nala loves adventures and being active. She's quite different from other greyhounds, as she's not the typical couch potato. She's incredibly calm in the car, even on longer drives. She has perfected the art of the awkward greyhound sit, claims a very specific corner of the couch as her throne.
A big shoutout and thanks to our amazing foster carers Connor and Laura, and case manager Chrissy who helped matchmake Tim and Nala - a pawfect pair!
